Pat Manturi

Personal Trainer Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of Scranton. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, with certification in weightlifting through USA Weightlifting. Through the National Sports Performance Association, Patrick is a program design specialist, speed and agility coach, and weightlifting performance coach.

His experience includes training athletes from youth to the professional level. With an interest in physical therapy, he shadowed under numerous rehabilitation professionals. He spent time helping at an in-patient rehabilitation facility for hip and knee replacement.

Patrick enjoys working with anyone willing to give 110 percent. He specializes in sports performance training and injury prevention. Regardless of athletic ability, he helps members of any skill set or age feel powerful. He focuses on balance and proper form with each movement of every client. Patrick is a wonderful leader who energizes his training sessions. He keeps his clients motivated and the programs fun.

He prides himself on helping individuals reach their full potential and accomplish goals while improving their quality-of-life. Patrick encourages all members to ask for his assistance when needed, or simply chat with him about the Cowboys and Yankees.

Patrick applied his advanced technical competencies to diagnose my strength imbalances and flexibility shortcomings. He prescribed an individualized program that has been effective in helping me achieve my strength, mobility, and body composition goals. He continues to coach me on how to properly execute the various new movements and exercises we do. Patrick proved to me his skill as a trainer when I was struggling with consistency between sessions. He figured out how to hold me accountable and motivate me to do what he laid out for me. I’ve had a great return on investment through working with Patrick. I was shocked when Nurse Gina told me how many pounds of fat I lost, and pounds of muscle I gained, during my recent health screening. Others have commented on my progress. It’s been really nice seeing my clothes fitting better and definition in my arms and shoulders that wasn’t there before. Most of all, I am pleased I was able to reduce my blood pressure. And, the intermittent knee and back pain that restricted me on occasion over the past 15+ years has completely subsided. Patrick never gave up on me. Patrick has been my trainer for a little more than nine months. I am very happy with the results: weight loss, muscle gain, and a boost in confidence. I learned new weightlifting techniques, cardio exercises, and warm-up drills. In the time Patrick has been my trainer, I increased the amount of races I typically run. I also signed up for my first half marathon. Patrick taught me the importance of stretching, recovery, and working areas runners need in order to excel. With his training, my pace has gotten faster and my recovery time has decreased. Additionally, Patrick is very knowledgeable in strength training and conditioning. He knew the answers to all my questions, and shared explanations. You can tell he is passionate about fitness. He encourages you to be your best. You’ll have fun seeing the progress.

All my life, I had a nagging injury that plagued me. Physical therapy and chiropractic treatments helped but the injury always resurfaced. Many times through the years, I would be in pain and agony. I came to the Center by chance. Then, I started to train with Patrick. He is an excellent trainer who is very focused. He challenges me but never pushes more than I am capable of doing. I feel stronger and pain-free. Exercise was never my favorite. However, it feels good to be pain-free. Also, I have osteoporosis and we are working on that. It is amazing what can be accomplished with such an excellent trainer.

Patrick helps me fight back against age, aches and pains, and multiple orthopedic surgeries. For me, Patrick’s background in physical therapy is his greatest strength. He helps me improve my strength and balance while reducing my pain. He listens well, asks pertinent questions, and carefully observes movement. The workouts he creates are cohesive. They complement, rather than duplicate, what I do in Group Fitness classes. He builds from one set of exercises to another as I master a skill set.
